K9 Cali Certifies with NAPWDA for Tracking & Trailing

Thanks to the amazing opportunity we had to bring NAPWDA Master Trainer Kyle McCraith to our area in June, K9 Cali was able to certify in tracking and trailing!

The tracking certification includes a 1/4 mile track with at least two surface changes, three turns, and one cross track (where a different person walks over where the track layer did). After an hour wait, K9 Cali and handler Natalie were given a starting location and scent article and no other guidance - and they quickly found their hider!

The trailing certification is more intensive and includes a track over 1.5 miles long, with multiple surfaces including 500+ feet of pavement, multiple turns, and multiple cross-tracks!

K9 Cali's successful certification brings another incredible skillset to our team! We're grateful to Kyle and KMK9 for his expertise and guidance, and for traveling all this way to give area K9 teams the opportunity!
