Our Wilderness & Urban Search  & Rescue Program

Our K9 Search and Rescue (SAR) Team members undergo year-round training in various environments and to be ready to respond to law enforcement calls for search and rescue assistance. Our K9 teams train and obtain national certification in Airscent, Human Remains Detection and/or Tracking/Trailing, and train in wilderness, urban, urban disaster and urban wilderness scenarios. We exclusively respond to requests from agencies having jurisdiction and our services are provided at no cost.

Apart from the specialized training our K9s receive, our team members are proficient in wilderness navigation, survival skills, search and rescue management, search techniques, radio communication, first aid and K9 first aid.

We also conduct an outreach program aimed at raising awareness about search and rescue operations and personal safety in wilderness settings. Our teams are available to visit schools, camps and other groups to provide demonstrations and informative presentations about K9 search and rescue operations.
